All-Season and Summer Tires
All-Season Tires
HYUNDAI fits all-season tires on certain models to provide good performance for year-round use, including snowy and icy road conditions. All-season tires are marked ALL SEASON and/or M+S (Mud and Snow) on the tire sidewall. Winter tires provide better traction on snow than all-season tires and may be more suitable in some regions.
Summer Tires
HYUNDAI recommends summer tires on some models to provide superior performance on dry roads. Summer tire traction performance is significantly reduced on snow and ice. Summer tires do not have the M+S (Mud and Snow) traction rating on the sidewall. If you plan to drive the vehicle in snowy or icy conditions, HYUNDAI recommends using winter tires or all-season tires on all four wheels.
Tires with a longer service life may be more prone to uneven tread wear. It is very important to follow the tire rotation interval in this chapter in order to achieve the tread life potential of these tires.
Cuts and punctures in radial-ply tires can be repaired only in the tread area, because of the flexing of the sidewall. Consult your tire dealer for radial tire repair.
WARNING
Do not mix bias-ply and radial tires under any circumstances. This may cause unusual handling characteristics which could result in loss of vehicle control and an accident.
