Wheel Replacement

When replacing steel wheels for any reason, make sure the new wheels are the same as the original factory specifications for diameter, rim width, and offset.

Tire traction may be reduced if you drive on worn tires, improperly inflated tires, or on slippery road surfaces. Tires should be replaced when the tread wear indicators appear. To reduce the possibility of losing control, slow down whenever the road is wet, snowy, or icy.

Tire Maintenance

In addition to proper inflation, correct wheel alignment helps reduce tire wear. If you find a tire wearing unevenly, have your dealer check the wheel alignment. When you install new tires, make sure they are balanced. This will improve ride comfort and tire life. In addition, the tire should always be rebalanced if it has been removed from the wheel.
