Sun visor

Use the sun visors to protect yourself from glare caused by sunlight entering from the front or the side.

To use a sun visor, pull it down.

To protect yourself from sunlight entering from the side, fold down the sun visor, release it from the retaining clip (1), and swing the visor to the side.

The driver's sun visor has a pocket (2) for tickets or other papers. To use the vanity mirror, fold the sun visor down.

Then fold the mirror cover (3) up.

Pull the visor extension (4) out sideways from the sun visor if you want to extend it.

NOTE

After use, close the mirror cover carefully, then fold the sun visor back into its original position against the windshield.

If the vanity mirror cover is not fully closed, the mirror light will not switch off. This could drain the vehicle battery and may damage the sun visor.

12V power outlet*

The 12V power outlets are intended to supply power to mobile phones and other devices that can be operated from the 12V vehicle electrical system. The current draw of devices connected while the engine is running should be below 10A.

NOTE

  • Use the power outlet only with the engine running, and remove the outlet cover before connecting the electrical device. If the electrical device is operated with the engine off, or if the plug remains connected for several hours, the battery could be discharged.
  • Connect only electrical devices with a voltage below 12V and a current draw below 10A.
  • Set the heater or air conditioning to the lowest setting before connecting devices to the 12V power outlet(s).
  • Keep the 12V power outlets closed with their covers when not in use.
  • Some electronic devices can cause electronic interference when connected to a vehicle's 12V power outlet. These devices can cause significant interference with the audio system and malfunctions of the electronic systems or equipment installed in the vehicle.
