Interior Lighting

Reading Lamps

The reading lamps are switched on and off by pressing the corresponding switches.

Roof Lamp*

   OFF - The lamp stays off even when the door or doors are open.

   DOOR - The lamp comes on when a door is opened or when the doors are unlocked with the remote control*. When the door is closed, the interior lamp fades out slowly over 30 seconds and then goes out.

   However, if the ignition is switched on (ignition key in ON position) and the last open door is closed, the interior lamp does not fade out over 30 seconds but goes out immediately.

   ON - The lamp stays on permanently. It does not go out even when all doors are closed.

   

Door Courtesy Lamp

When a door is opened, the corresponding door lamp comes on to make getting in and out easier. The door lamp also warns overtaking vehicles of the open door.

The lamp goes out automatically as soon as the door or luggage compartment lid is closed.
