CAUTION- The power seats are moved by electric motors. Operate the electric motors only for as long as necessary to adjust your seat.Excessive use of the power seat adjustment could damage the electrical system.
- When the seat adjustment motors are operated, they consume a large amount of electrical power. To prevent the battery from being discharged, do not operate the electric motors with the engine off for longer than necessary to adjust your seat.
- Do not operate two or more power seat adjustment switches at the same time. This could cause a malfunction of an electric motor or other component of the electrical system.
- Loose objects lying in the footwell in front of and under the driver's seat could obstruct your pedals when you press them, which could cause an accident. Loose objects lying in the footwell in front of and under the front seats could get caught in the seat adjustment rails. Therefore, do not leave any objects in front of or under the front seats.
- The power seat can be operated without the ignition switched on and without the ignition key in the ignition lock. Never leave children unattended in your vehicle.
- Never try to adjust your seat while driving. You could lose control of the vehicle, which could result in an accident causing fatal or serious injuries as well as considerable property damage.
- Make sure the normal position of your seatback can never be impaired. Improper loading that presses against the seatback, or other circumstances that prevent the seatback from locking properly, could result in serious or fatal injuries in the event of emergency braking or an accident.
- Always drive with the seatback as upright as possible and make sure the lower belt of the seat belt sits comfortably and low across your hips. In this seating position, the seat belt provides its greatest effectiveness in the event of an accident.
- To avoid unnecessary injuries from airbags, including possible serious or fatal injuries, always adopt a seating position that is as far from the steering wheel as possible. Your upper body should be at least 250 mm away from the steering wheel.
