Description and Operation

Description

The hood switch is one of the factors affecting ISG function activation. When the hood is open, the engine will not be stopped or restarted by the ISG function for safety reasons.

Replacement

Hood Switch Inspection

  1. Remove the front bumper assembly.

    (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Assembly")

  2. Disconnect the hood switch connector (A).

  3. Check the continuity of the circuit between the terminals and ground as shown below.

    (Refer to Body - "Hood Latch")
