Description and Operation

Description

The auto defog sensor is installed on the windshield. The auto defog sensor detects moisture on the windshield. The A/C control unit receives the signal from the sensor and removes fogging by controlling the intake actuator, A/C, front fog lamp actuator, blower speed and mode actuator.

TEST

  1. Press the MODE switch more than 4 times within 2 seconds; at the same time, hold the OFF button.

    00 Normal
    51 Communication failure with the defog sensor and incorrect input signal

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  2. Remove the anti-fog sensor cover (A).

  3. Disconnect the connector (B) of the auto defog sensor, then remove the sensor (A).

  4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
