Description and Operation

Description

After measuring the pressure in the high-pressure line, the A/C pressure sensor (APT) converts this value into a voltage. Based on this converted voltage, the engine ECU controls the cooling fan (high or low speed activation). The engine ECU stops compressor operation when the refrigerant line temperature is too high or too low, which helps optimize the air conditioning system and prevent problems.

repair procedures

TEST

  1. Measure the high-pressure line pressure by measuring the output voltage between terminals "1" and "2".

  2. After checking the voltage value, determine whether the voltage corresponds sufficiently to the normal pressure value.

  3. If the voltage readings do not meet the specification, replace the A/C pressure sensor.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  2. Discharge the refrigerant at a service station.

  3. Remove the engine undercover.

G 1.0 T-GDI KAPPA (Refer to Engine Mechanical - "Under Hood")

G 1.2 MPI KAPPA (Refer to Engine Mechanical - "Under Hood")

G 1.4 MPI KAPPA (Refer to Engine Mechanical - "Under Hood")

  4. Disconnect the A/C pressure transducer connector (A) and remove the A/C pressure transducer (B).
