self-diagnosis

  1. self-diagnosis procedure

  2. How to Read Self-Diagnosis

During self-diagnosis, the corresponding trouble code blinks every 0.5 seconds on the temperature display and shows two digits.

Trouble codes are displayed in numerical format.

    DISPLAY Malfunction Description

  3. DTC DISPLAY

    1. Continuous Operation: No DTC or one DTC is present.

    2. Continuous Operation: Two or more DTCs are present.

    3. Gradual Operation

      A

Normal or the same DTC as during continuous operation.

      B.

Two or more DTCs are present.

  4. If DTCs are displayed during inspection, identify the malfunction using the DTC chart.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  2. Remove the passenger side instrument panel trim.

(Refer to Body - "Instrument Panel Garnish [Right]")

  3. Loosen the mounting bolts, then remove the heater and A/C control unit (A).

  4. Disconnect the connector (A) and the air hose (B).

  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
