Beschreibung und bedienung

Beschreibung

The spark plug conducts electrical current from the ignition system into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine vehicle and ignites the compressed fuel/air mixture using an electric spark, while maintaining combustion pressure in the engine. A spark plug consists of a metal-threaded shell that is electrically insulated from a center electrode by a porcelain insulator.

Repair Procedures

INSPECTION

[Prüfung am Fahrzeug]

  1. Run the engine for 3 minutes at approx. 3,000 rpm.

  2. Zündkerzen ausbauen.

  3. Zündkerze per Sicht prüfen

    Bei trockener Elektrode ist die Zündkerze normal.

    Bei feuchter Elektrode muss die Zündkerze auf Beschädigung geprüft und der Elektrodenabstand kontrolliert werden.

[Überprüfung der Bauteile]

  1. Zündkerze auf Beschädigung am Gewinde und Isolator prüfen.

    Falls beschädigt, die Zündkerze ersetzen.

  2. Check the electrode. Check insulation resistance with an ohmmeter.

    If the resistance is below the specified value, adjust the electrode gap.

    Specification: 10 MΩ or more

  3. Elektrodenspalt der Zündkerze kontrollieren.

    If the gap is larger than the maximum allowable value, the spark plug must be replaced.

    Specification: 0.7 ~ 0.8 mm

Adjustment

Die Verbrennung wird aufgrund von alterndem Kraftstoff und Kohlerückständen auf den Zündkerzen nach langer Lagerung vorübergehend instabil.

[Method 1]

  1. Start the engine and let it run for 2 minutes.

  2. Set the selector lever to position N, depress the accelerator pedal, and maintain engine speed at 4,500 rpm until the coolant temperature reaches 80 °C.

  3. Run the engine in position N for 15 minutes, cycling between 2,500 and 3,000 rpm at intervals.

[Method 2]

  1. Start the engine and let it run for 2 minutes.

  2. Drive the vehicle for more than 20 minutes while keeping engine speed at 3,500 rpm.

Removal

  1. Zündspule ausbauen.

    (Siehe Zündsystem - "Zündspule")

  2. Zündkerze (A) mit geeignetem Zündkerzenschlüssel ausbauen.

    Anzugsdrehmoment. 14,7 ~ 24 N·m

Installation

  1. Der Einbau erfolgt in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge des Ausbaus.
