Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Release the residual pressure in the fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Supply System - "Relieve Fuel Pressure")

  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  3. Remove the engine cover.

    (See Engine and Transaxle Assembly - Engine Cover)

  4. Disconnect the injector connector (A).

  5. Remove the PCV hose (A).

  6. Remove the mounting bolt of the wiring harness bracket.

  7. Remove the mounting nuts (B), then disconnect the fuel feed tube (A).

    High pressure fuel pipe mounting nut:

    26,5 ~ 32 N·m

  8. Remove the mounting bolts (B), then remove the high pressure fuel pipe and injector assembly (A) from the engine.

    High pressure fuel pipe mounting bolt:

    18,6 ~ 24 N·m

  9. Remove the retaining clip (A) and separate the injector from the delivery pipe.

Installation

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
