Repair Procedures

Removal

1. 1

   Release the residual pressure in the fuel line.

   (Refer to Fuel System - "Relieve Fuel Line Residual Pressure")

   Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

   Remove the rear seat cushion.

   (See Body - "Rear Seat Assembly")

4. 4

   Remove the service cover (A).

   

5. 5

   Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

   

6. 6

   Disconnect the fuel feed quick-connect fitting (A) and the vent tube quick-connect fitting (B).

   

7. 7

   Raise the vehicle and support the fuel tank with a jack.

8. 8

   Remove the center muffler assembly.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - Muffler)

9. 9

   Disconnect the filler hose (A), the balance hose (B), and the hose (C).

   

10. 10

    Loosen the fuel tank mounting nuts (A), then remove the fuel tank (B).

    Fuel tank mounting nut:

    39,2 ~ 54 N·m

    

    

Installation

1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
