All of the following warnings are intended to ensure the airbag can deploy freely and to prevent serious direct injuries from impact when it opens.
! The airbag is designed to supplement the seat belt. The airbag and the seat belt are inseparable parts of the same restraint system. Always wear your seat belt. Not wearing it exposes occupants to more severe injuries in an accident and can also increase the risk of skin injuries inherent to airbag deployment itself. The pretensioners or airbags do not always deploy in a rollover or even a severe rear impact. Impacts underneath the vehicle, such as against curbs, potholes, or stones, can also trigger these systems.- Any work on or modification of the complete airbag system (airbags, pretensioners, control unit, wiring, etc.) is strictly prohibited, except by qualified personnel of the brand's Network.
- To maintain correct operation and prevent unintended deployment, only qualified personnel of the brand's Network are authorised to work on the airbag system.
- As a safety measure, have the airbag system checked if the vehicle has been involved in an accident, theft, or attempted theft.
- When lending or selling the vehicle, inform the new owner of these conditions by handing over this owner's and maintenance manual.
- When scrapping the vehicle, contact a brand Representative to have the gas generator(s) disposed of.
Operating faults

Operating faults
Warning light 1 comes on in the instrument panel when the ignition is switched on, then goes off after a few seconds.
If it does not come on when the ignition is switched on, or if it comes on with the engine running, it indicates a fault in the system (airbags, pretensioners, etc.) at the front and/or rear seats.
Consult a brand Representative as soon as possible. Any delay may mean the protection is no longer fully effective.
