Depending on the vehicle, it combines the following functions:

  • distance travelled;
  • journey parameters;
  • information messages;
  • malfunction messages (associated with the warning lightles messages d’alerte (associés au témoin) ;
  • alert messages (associated with the warning light).

All these functions are described on the following pages.

Touches de sélection de l’affichage 1 et 2
Display selection buttons 1 and 2

Display selection buttons 1 and 2

Scroll up (button 1) or down (button 2) through the following information by pressing the buttons briefly and repeatedly (the display depends on vehicle equipment and country).

  1. Total and trip distance odometers,
  2. trip settings:
  • fuel consumed;
  • average fuel consumption;
  • instantaneous fuel consumption;
  • estimated range;
  • distance travelled;
  • average speed;
  1. service interval range;
  2. speed limiter and cruise control set speed;
  3. trip log, scrolling of information and fault messages.

Resetting the trip odometer

Mise à zéro du totalisateur partiel
Resetting the trip odometer to zero

With the display set to "trip odometer", press either button 1 or 2 until the odometer resets to zero.

Resetting the trip parameters (Top Départ)

With the display set to one of the trip parameters, press either button 1 or 2 until the display resets to zero.

Interpreting certain values displayed after a Top Départ

The average fuel consumption, range and average speed values become more stable and meaningful the greater the distance driven since the last Top Départ.

During the first kilometers driven after a Trip Start, you may notice:

  • that the range increases as you drive.

    This is because it takes into account the average consumption since the last Trip Start. The average consumption may decrease when:

  • the vehicle comes out of an acceleration phase;
  • the engine reaches its operating temperature (Top Départ: cold engine);
  • you switch from urban driving to road driving.

Automatic resetting of the trip parameters

The reset is automatic when the capacity of one of the parameters is exceeded.

THE INFORMATION DESCRIBED BELOW DEPENDS ON VEHICLE EQUIPMENT AND COUNTRY.

  b) Trip parameters

Fuel consumed since the last Trip Start.

Consommation moyenne depuis le dernier Top Départ. Average consumption since the last Trip Start.

Value displayed after traveling 400 meters, taking into account the distance traveled and the fuel used since the last Trip Start.

THE INFORMATION DESCRIBED BELOW DEPENDS ON VEHICLE EQUIPMENT AND COUNTRY.

Consommation instantanéeValeur affichée après Instantaneous consumption

Value displayed after reaching a speed of 30 km/h.

Autonomie prévisible avec le carburant restant Estimated range with remaining fuel

This range takes into account the average consumption since the last trip reset. Value displayed after travelling 400 metres.

A few minutes after the reserve warning light comes on (refer to the "Instrument panel" section), the estimated range is no longer displayed.

Distance parcourue depuis le dernier Top Départ. Distance traveled since the last Trip Start.
Vitesse moyenne depuis le dernier Top Départ. Average speed since the last Trip Start.

Value displayed after 400 metres have been travelled.

c) Oil change range

Distance remaining until the next service (displayed in kilometers). When the range approaches zero, several cases may occur:

  • range less than 3,000 km or two months: the message "service due" is displayed;

  • oil change range equal to 0 km or service date reached: the message "oil change required soon" is displayed when the selected display is "oil change range", accompanied by the symbol.and the warning light.

The vehicle requires a service as soon as possible.

Note: depending on the vehicle, the service range adapts to driving style (frequent driving at low speeds, stop-and-go traffic, prolonged idling, towing a trailer, ...). The distance remaining until the next service may therefore in some cases decrease faster than the distance actually traveled.

Resetting the display after servicing in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

The service range should only be reset after servicing in accordance with the recommendations in the maintenance document.

If you decide to change the oil more frequently, do not reset this data at each oil change, to avoid exceeding the replacement intervals of other parts specified in the maintenance schedule.

Special note: to reset the service range, go to the service page (see image above) and press and hold either display reset button for about 10 seconds without interruption until the service range is displayed steadily. Refer to the "On-board computer: general information" section in chapter 2.
