To open the roof hatch

To open:

  • Unlock control 2; the roof hatch then rises automatically (make sure nothing obstructs the opening of the hatch. If so, guide its upward movement using handle 1);
  • with the roof hatch open, it is essential to lock it by pushing it toward the front of the vehicle until control 2 locks.

Important: It is prohibited to drive with the roof hatch open and unlocked.

To load bulky objects, the cross bar can be folded down:

  • Press lever 3;
  • lift the bar to release it and guide it to the door pillar;
  • lock the bar after loading the objects.

Note: while driving with the roof hatch open, you may hear wind noise. To reduce it, open one of the side windows slightly.

! Driving with the roof hatch open may cause discomfort to passengers due to possible exhaust gas entry. This use should be reserved, for short distances, for transporting bulky objects without having to open the rear doors. In this case, close the other windows and run the ventilation at medium or maximum setting, in order to prevent exhaust gases from entering the passenger compartment.

To close

  • Unlock control 2; the roof hatch then automatically returns to the half-open position;
  • pull handle 1 and lock the roof hatch in the closed position.

Before starting, always return the cross bar to position and make sure it is properly locked.

The rear swing doors can only be closed with the bar locked.

Take into account the changes in overall dimensions when transporting bulky objects.
