REPLACEMENT OF SAFETY COMPONENTS FOLLOWING AN IMPACT

This table lists the parts that must be replaced without exception after an impact.

Frontal impact levels summary:

  • impact without deployment of pyrotechnic components: "level 0" (low severity),
  • impact with deployment of the belt pretensioners: "level 1" (medium severity),
  • level 1 impact with airbag deployment: "level 2" (high severity),
  • level 2 impact with deployment of the knee pretensioners: "level 3" (very high severity).

IMPORTANT

The deployment of pretensioners, pyrotechnic retractors, anti-submarining, front and side airbags may vary depending on the severity and configuration of the impact.
