GENERAL EVERY 2 YEARS

A new air filter element is required to perform this work.

Removal

The removal procedure is described using the 1.8 L/125 L hp engine as an example. For other engines, proceed in the same way.

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the screws –4–.

2. Loosen the clamp –1– and disconnect the clean air hose from the air filter housing.

3. Disconnect the connector –2– from the mass air flow meter.

4. Remove the screws –3–. Lift the cover and remove the filter element. Installation

5. Wipe the filter housing clean with a cloth.

6. Insert a new filter element into the housing.

7. Install the cover on top and secure it with the screws.

8. Install the clean air hose onto the air filter housing and secure it with the clamp.

9. Connect the mass air flow meter connector. The lock must engage audibly.

10. Install the screws –4–.
