Adjustable Upper Shoulder Belt Anchorage
On the driver and front outboard passenger seats, the upper shoulder belt anchorage can be adjusted up or down to move the seat belt away from your neck. Press or squeeze the anchorage button to release the anchorage, and move it up or down to the position that best suits you.

As a general guide, if you are shorter than average, you will prefer the shoulder belt anchorage in a lower position, and if you are taller than average, you will prefer the shoulder belt anchorage in a higher position. After releasing the anchorage button, try to move it up or down to make sure it is locked in that position.
NOTE:
The adjustable upper shoulder belt anchorage is equipped with an Easy Up feature. This feature allows you to adjust the shoulder belt anchorage upward without pressing the release button.
To make sure the shoulder belt anchorage has latched, pull the belt anchorage down until it locks in the desired position.
- Improper seat belt use can result in much more severe injury in a crash. You can suffer internal injuries or even slide out of the seat belt. Follow these instructions to properly buckle your seat belt and to keep your passengers safe.
- Position the shoulder belt across your shoulder and chest with minimal or no slack so that it is comfortable and does not rest against your neck. The retractor will remove any slack from the shoulder belt.
- Incorrect seat belt adjustment may reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt in a crash.
- Always adjust the seat belt height while the vehicle is stationary.
