This vehicle is equipped with front airbags and lap/shoulder seat belts for both the driver and front passenger. Front airbags supplement the seat belt system. The driver front airbag is mounted in the center of the steering wheel. The front passenger airbag is mounted in the instrument panel above the glove compartment. The words "SRS AIRBAG" or "AIRBAG" are embossed on the airbag covers.

  • Being too close to the steering wheel or instrument panel during front airbag deployment can result in serious injury, including death. Airbags need room to inflate. Sit back comfortably with your arms extended to reach the steering wheel or instrument panel.
  • Never install a rear-facing child restraint in front of an airbag. The deploying front passenger airbag can cause death or serious injury to the child. Always install children 12 years old and younger in the rear seat, including a child in a rear-facing child restraint.
  • Never install a rear-facing child restraint in the front seat of the vehicle. Use a rear-facing child restraint only in the rear seat. If the vehicle does not have a rear seat, do not transport a rear-facing child restraint in that vehicle.
