System intervention

~1min read

ABS intervention is signalled to the driver by a slight pulsing of the brake pedal, accompanied by noise. This means the speed must be adapted to the road type.

Note

ABS intervention indicates that the grip limit between tyres and road surface has been reached. Reduce speed to adapt the driving to the available grip conditions.

Note

ABS makes the best use of the available grip but cannot improve it. On slippery surfaces, caution is always advised and unnecessary risks must be avoided.

Note

When ABS intervenes, the brake pedal pulses. Do not reduce the pressure on the pedal; keep it pressed firmly without hesitation.

In this way, bring the vehicle to a stop as quickly as road conditions allow.
