It can only be switched on with the ignition key in MAR. The function switches off when the lever is released.

Turning the lever ring from position O to position, the rear wiper operates as follows:

• Intermittent, when the front wiper is not in operation;
• Synchronised (at half the front wiper frequency) when the front wiper is in operation;
• Continuous, when reverse gear is engaged and the function is active.

With the front wiper running and reverse gear engaged, the rear wiper is also activated in continuous mode in this case. Pushing the lever forward (non-locking position) activates the rear washer. If the lever is held for longer than half a second, the rear wiper is also activated. When the lever is released, the intelligent washing function works as for the front wiper.
