Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control
How Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control Works
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control combines Speed Sign Recognition with Adaptive Cruise Control. To set cruise control to the speed limit, set the speed to the speed limit detected by the Speed Sign Recognition system. When the system detects a new speed sign, it prompts a speed update.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control: Precautions
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control Requirements
Speed Sign Recognition must be turned on for Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control to be active.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control Limitations
Speed limit information provided by navigation map data may be inaccurate or outdated.
The system may not detect or read speed limit signs with conditional information, for example, when a sign flashes at certain times or when children are present.
Under certain conditions, the system may not adjust the vehicle speed until the vehicle exceeds the speed limit.
Turning Intelligent Mode On and Off
- Press Settings on the touchscreen.
- Press Driver Assist.
- Press Cruise Control.
- Press Intelligent.
Adjusting the Set Speed Tolerance
You can set a constant speed tolerance that is above or below the detected speed limit.
- Press Settings on the touchscreen.
- Press Driver Assist.
- Press Cruise Control.
- Press Intelligent.
- Press Tolerance.
- Use + and - to set the tolerance.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control Warnings
If you increase the set speed above the speed limit or the speed limit plus a positive tolerance value, the set speed indicator flashes.
The warning does not appear if:
- You cancel the set speed with the accelerator pedal.
- The vehicle speed exceeds the set speed due to downhill driving.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control Indicators

The set speed limit is displayed next to the detected speed limit in the instrument cluster.
