Ford Escape. Push Button Ignition Switch

Ignition Off

With the ignition on or in accessory mode, press the ignition switch once to cycle it, without pressing the brake pedal.

Switching the Ignition to Accessory Mode

With the ignition off, press the ignition switch once without pressing the brake pedal.

All electrical circuits and accessories are operational and warning lamps and indicators illuminate.

Starting the Engine

When the transmission is in Park (P), press the brake pedal and press the ignition switch. The indicator light on the button illuminates when the ignition is on and when the engine is started.
