What is Temporary Neutral Mode

This mode keeps your vehicle in Neutral (N) when the vehicle is switched off. Use this mode if you exit the vehicle or take your vehicle through an automatic car wash.

Temporary Neutral Mode Limitations

Your vehicle may shift into Park (P) after 30 minutes or when the vehicle battery charge level is low. Prolonged use of this mode may drain the vehicle battery.

Do not tow the vehicle in this mode. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the vehicle that is not covered by the vehicle warranty.

  1. Switch the vehicle power on.
  2. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
  3. Press and hold the brake pedal.
  4. Shift into Neutral (N).
  5. Press the Low (L) button.
  6. Release the brake pedal.
  7. Turn off the vehicle.
