Important Safety Rules
Like any advanced system, the ACC system has limitations. Improper use of the ACC system is dangerous and may result in a serious collision. Always maintain a safe distance from surrounding vehicles and, if necessary, brake yourself by using the brake pedal.
Do not use the ACC system in the following conditions:
• In poor visibility
• In heavy traffic
• When driving with frequent acceleration and braking
• When driving on winding roads
• On steep downhill grades
• When passing through toll plazas, service areas, parking lots, etc., because if there is no vehicle ahead of you, the ACC system will try to accelerate the vehicle to the set speed.
• In bad weather
• On slippery roads (for example, icy or snow-covered roads)
Improper use of the cruise control system may result in a traffic accident.
Use the ACC system only when driving on highways in good weather.
