AUTO HOLD
AUTO HOLD keeps the vehicle stationary, even when the brake pedal is not depressed, after the driver brings the vehicle to a complete stop by pressing the brake pedal.
To apply:

1. With the driver's door, engine hood and tailgate closed, fasten the driver's seat belt or depress the brake pedal, then press the [AUTO HOLD] switch. The AUTO HOLD indicator will illuminate white and the system will be in standby mode.

2. When you come to a complete stop by pressing the brake pedal, the Auto Hold function maintains brake pressure to keep the vehicle stationary. The indicator changes from white to green.
3. The vehicle will remain stationary even if you release the brake pedal.
4. If the EPB is applied, Auto Hold will be released.
To release:
- If the accelerator pedal is depressed with the shift lever in D (Drive), R (Reverse) or manual shift mode, AUTO HOLD will be released automatically and the vehicle will start moving. The AUTO HOLD indicator changes from green to white.
- If the vehicle is restarted with the cruise control switch (RES+ or SET-) during AUTO HOLD and cruise control is operating, AUTO HOLD will be released regardless of accelerator pedal operation. The AUTO HOLD indicator changes from green to white. (if equipped with cruise control)
WARNING
When AUTO HOLD is released automatically, always look around your vehicle. Depress the accelerator pedal slowly to start smoothly.
To cancel:

1. Depress the brake pedal.
2. Press the [AUTO HOLD] switch.
The AUTO HOLD indicator will turn off.
