Inspection
C-CAN Load Resistance Inspection (Multi-Purpose Check Connector)
- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Measure the resistance between terminals No. 20 and No. 17 of the multi-purpose check connector (20-pin). Measure the resistance between terminals No. 3 and No. 11 of the DLC connector (16-pin).
Specified value: approx. 60 Ω
- If the measured value does not meet the specification, check the terminating resistance between the BMS ECU and the inverter.
C-CAN Load Resistance (BMS ECU)
- Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary battery.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Loosen the mounting nut, then remove the front lower cover of the high voltage battery (A).
- Disconnect the BMS ECU extension connector (A).
- Measure the resistance between terminal No. 2 (CAN-High) and terminal No. 9 (CAN-Low) of the BMS ECU.
Specified value: approx. 120 ?
Removal
|
- Disconnect the high voltage. (Refer to Electric Vehicle Battery System - "High Voltage Disconnection Procedure")
- Remove the high voltage battery assembly. (High Voltage Battery System - Battery Pack Assembly - "Removal")
- Remove the safety lever cable bracket mounting bolt (A). Safety lever cable bracket mounting bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
- Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the upper case (A). High voltage battery upper case mounting bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
- Remove the BMS control unit.
- Disconnect the connector (A).
- Remove the mounting nut (B).
- Remove the BMS ECU (C).
BMS ECU nut: 7.8 - 11.8 N·m
- Disconnect the connector (A).
Installation
|
- Install the BMS ECU in the reverse order of removal.
