Repair Procedures

Removal

[3.3 T-GDI LAMBDA II]

1. 1

   Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

   Remove the engine room cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Cover")

3. 3

   Disconnect the vacuum pump connector (A).

   

4. 4

   Disconnect the vacuum pump hose (A) from the vacuum pump.

   

5. 5

   Loosen the vacuum pump mounting bolts (B) and remove the vacuum pump (A).

   Tightening torque: 16.7–26 N·m

   

6. 6

   Install in the reverse order of removal.

[2.0 T-GDI THETA II]

1. 1

   Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

2. 2

   Remove the engine room cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Cover")

3. 3

   Disconnect the vacuum pump connector (A) and the vacuum pump hose (B).

   

4. 4

   Loosen the vacuum pump bracket bolts (A), (B) and remove the vacuum pump bracket.

   Tightening torque:

   (A): 6,8–8.8 N·m

   (B) : 16,7–26 N·m

   

5. 5

   Remove the vacuum pump (A).

   

6. 6

   Loosen the vacuum pump bracket bolt (B) and remove the vacuum pump bracket (A).

   Tightening torque: 16.7–26 N·m

   

7. 7

   Install in the reverse order of removal.
