In this manual: Driving Tips
~1min read
When driving under high-risk conditions such as water, snow, ice, slush, sand, etc., we recommend the following driving tips:
- Drive carefully and keep extra distance.
- Avoid sudden braking or steering.
- When braking with a brake system without ABS, press the brake pedal with light pumping motions until the vehicle comes to a complete stop.
WARNING
ABS
On vehicles with ABS, do not pump the brake pedal.
- If the vehicle is stuck in snow, mud, or sand, use second gear. Accelerate slowly to prevent the drive wheels from spinning.
- Use sand, salt, gravel, or other suitable material under the drive wheels to obtain traction if the vehicle is stuck on ice, snow, or mud.
WARNING
Downshifting
When driving on slippery surfaces, downshifting to a lower gear on vehicles with an automatic/dual clutch transmission may cause an accident. A sudden change in tire rotation speed may cause the tires to start slipping. Be especially careful when downshifting on slippery surfaces.
