Reducing the risk of rollover

~1min read

This vehicle is classified as a CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle). Sport utility vehicles have a significantly higher rollover rate than vehicles of other design types. CUVs have a higher ground clearance and a narrower track, which makes them suitable for off-road driving. Due to their special design features, the center of gravity is higher than in conventional passenger vehicles. The advantage of higher ground clearance is a better view of the road, which allows you to identify problems earlier. Sport utility vehicles are not designed to be driven through curves at the same speed as conventional vehicles, and they are not designed for riding on unpaved terrain as sports cars are. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that the occupants wear their seat belts. In the event of a rollover, an unbelted person has a significantly greater risk of fatal injury than a belted person.

There are things the driver can do to reduce the risk of rollover. If possible, avoid sharp steering maneuvers and emergency braking, do not load the roof rack with heavy items, and never modify your vehicle in any way.
