Severe service maintenance

The following items must be serviced more frequently on vehicles used mainly under severe service conditions.

See the table below for the appropriate maintenance intervals.

I: Inspect and, if necessary, adjust, correct, clean or replace

Severe service conditions

A : Habitual use on short trips.
B : Prolonged idling
C : Use on rough, dusty roads
D : Use in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are used, or at very low ambient temperatures
E : Driving in areas with heavy dust conditions
F : Driving in heavy traffic areas
G : Use in mountainous areas
H : Use for towing trailers
I : Use as patrol vehicle, taxi, commercial vehicle or towing vehicle.
J : Use at speeds above 170 km/h
K : Use with frequent stops and starts
L : Use in areas with very low ambient temperature
