To ensure emission control and good performance, the maintenance operations listed below must be carried out. Keep receipts for emission-related maintenance for warranty purposes. If both mileage and time are indicated, the frequency of service is determined by whichever comes first.

*1 : Adjust the drive belt for the alternator, water pump and air conditioner (if equipped). Inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace. If the drive belt makes noise, readjust the belt tension before replacing it.

*2 : Check the engine oil level and for leaks every 500 km or before a long trip.

*3 : For convenience, the oil change may be performed before the specified interval, when other components are being serviced.

*4 : Check for excessive valve noise and/or engine vibration and, if necessary, carry out the required adjustments. This work must be performed by an authorized Kia dealer.

*5 : The fuel filter is considered maintenance-free; however, periodic inspection is recommended depending on the quality of fuel used. If problems such as restricted fuel flow, speed fluctuations, loss of power, starting difficulties, etc. occur, replace the fuel filter immediately regardless of the maintenance interval and consult an authorized Kia dealer.

*6 : When topping up coolant, use only deionized or soft water; never add hard (non-distilled) water to the coolant. An inappropriate coolant mixture can cause serious operating problems or engine damage.

*7 : Kia recommends using good-quality gasoline that meets European standard (EN228) or an equivalent. If you do not regularly use good-quality gasoline, and you experience starting problems or the engine does not start smoothly, it is recommended to add one bottle of fuel additive to the fuel tank every 15,000 km (Europe) / 10,000 km (except Europe). Additives are available from your authorized Kia dealer, who will also provide the information needed for their use. Do not add other additives.

  4. Fuel hose fitting in engine compartment
  5. Fuel gas filter body and inlet/outlet fitting
  6. Multi-valve body and supply/return fitting
  7. LPG refueling inlet
  8. Emergency valve body and inlet/outlet fitting
  9. Cylinder assembly
  10. Fuel level indicator
  11. Filling valve body and fitting
  • Check operation of LPG injector and vaporizer (listen for noise).

Every 15,000 km or 12 months

  • Check LPG system for leaks (make sure there is no gas smell)
