Replacing interior fuse box fuses

- Turn the ignition switch and all other switches to OFF.
- Open the fuse box cover.

- Pull out the suspect fuse straight out. Use the fuse puller provided in the engine compartment fuse box.
- Inspect the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown.
- Insert the new fuse of the same rating and make sure it is firmly seated in the clips.
If it is loose after installation, consult an authorized Kia dealer.
If you do not have a suitable spare fuse, use one of the same rating taken from a circuit that is not essential for vehicle operation, such as the cigarette lighter.
If the headlights or other electrical components do not work although the fuses are intact, check the engine compartment fuse box. If a fuse is blown, replace it.

Memory fuse The vehicle is equipped with a memory fuse to prevent battery discharge if the vehicle is left parked and unused for a long time. Use the following procedures before leaving the vehicle parked for long periods.
- Switch off the engine.
- Turn off all lights.
- Open the driver's side fuse box cover and remove the memory fuse.
NOTE
- If the memory fuse is removed from the fuse box, the horn, radio, clock, interior lights, etc.
will not operate. Some of these items will need to be reset after the fuse is reinstalled. Refer to "Battery" in this section.
