Driving and drinking alcohol or using drugs
WARNING
Never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Alcohol in the blood reduces coordination, increases reaction time and impairs judgment. If you drive after drinking alcohol, you increase your risk of being involved in an accident that causes injury. In addition, alcohol may increase the severity of your injuries in the event of an accident.
NISSAN is committed to building safe vehicles. However, even the safest vehicle can be dangerous if its driver has consumed alcohol before driving. Every year, thousands of people are injured or killed in accidents involving drivers who have been drinking. Although laws regarding the amount of alcohol that may be consumed vary from region to region, it is clear that alcohol affects each person differently, and most people underestimate these effects.
Remember that alcohol and driving do not mix! This also applies to drugs (prescription and over-the-counter medications and illegal drugs). Never drive if your ability to drive is impaired by alcohol, drugs, or any physical condition that may alter your behavior behind the wheel.
