Precautions for starting and driving

~1min read

WARNING

  • Never leave children or persons who usually require the assistance of others alone in your vehicle. Also, never leave pets unattended.

They could injure themselves or someone else by accidentally starting the vehicle. Also, on hot, sunny days, the temperature inside the passenger compartment can rise quickly to a level that may cause serious injury or death to a person or animal trapped inside the vehicle.

  • Supervise children closely when they play near a vehicle to prevent them from accidentally becoming trapped in the trunk, where they could suffer serious injury. Keep the vehicle locked, make sure the rear seatback and trunk lid are securely latched when not in use, and keep vehicle keys out of children's reach.
