Safety Defects
In the United States
If you believe that a vehicle defect could cause a crash, injury, or death, you should immediately inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and NISSAN.
If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation and, if it determines that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA cannot become involved in individual problems between you, your dealer, or NISSAN.
To contact NHTSA, call the toll-free Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1 888 327-4236 (TTY: 1 800 424-9153), visit the website http://www.safercar.gov, or write to: Administrator, NHTSA, 400 Seventh Street, SW, Washington, D.C. 20590. The website http://www.safercar.gov also provides additional information on motor vehicle safety.
You may report any vehicle concern to NISSAN by contacting the Consumer Affairs Department toll-free at 1 800 NISSAN-1.
In Canada
If you believe that your vehicle has a defect that could cause a crash, serious injury, or death, you should immediately inform Transport Canada and NISSAN.
If Transport Canada receives complaints, it may open an investigation and, if it determines that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order NISSAN to conduct a recall campaign.
However, Transport Canada cannot become involved in individual problems between you, your dealer, or NISSAN.
