Voice adaptation allows up to two non-native speakers to program the system to improve voice recognition. By repeating a number of commands, users can create a voice model of their own voice that is stored in the system. The system can store a different voice adaptation model for each connected phone.

Programming Procedure

The voice programming procedure is as follows.

  1. Park the vehicle outside in a relatively quiet location.
  2. Sit in the driver's seat with the engine running, the parking brake applied and the transmission in Park (P).
  3. Press and hold theplus defor more than five seconds.
  4. The system announces: "Press the phone activation button (pour)
    to put the hands-free phone system into voice adaptation mode, or press the phone button (autre) to select a
    different language ".
  5. Press the button .

For more information on how to select a different language, refer to the "Language Selection" section in this chapter.

  • Voice memory A or voice memory B is automatically selected. If both memory locations are already in use, the system prompts you to overwrite one of them.

    • Follow the prompts given by the system.

  • When preparation is complete and you are ready to begin, press the buttonLe mode d'adaptation de la voix est expliqué. .

  • The voice adaptation mode is explained.

    • Follow the prompts given by the system.
  • When programming is complete, the system tells you that an adequate number of phrases has been recorded.
  • The system announces that voice adaptation is complete and that it is ready.

    • Voice adaptation mode is cancelled if:

    • The buttonpendant plusis pressed
      for more than five seconds in AV mode.
    • The vehicle begins to move during voice adaptation mode.
    • The ignition switch is placed in the OFF or LOCK position.

    Programming Phrases

    In voice adaptation mode, the system asks the user to say the following phrases. (The system prompts you to say each phrase.)

    • Phone Book, Transfer an Entry
    • Dial three zero four two nine
    • Delete the Callback Phone Number

    • Delete All Entries
