GENERAL INFORMATION

For carburetor engines without catalytic converter only. Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect the high-voltage wire from the coil (located on the left side of the cylinder head).

3. Отсоедините разъем.

3. Disconnect the connector.

4. Отверните гайки и болты и снимите катушку (указаны стрелками).

4. Remove the nuts and bolts and remove the coil (indicated by arrows).

Inspection

PROCEDURE

1. Check the resistance between terminals + and -, and between terminal + and the high-voltage wire, and compare with specifications (resistance values are given for 20 °C).

2. Check the circuit between the high-voltage wire and the body.

3. If any faults are found, replace the coil.

Installation: Installation is performed in the reverse order.
