Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Release the clips, remove the screws.

3. Remove the cover.

4. Remove the gasket.

5. Disconnect the connector.

6. Disconnect the hoses from the vacuum regulator.

7. Mark the position of the distributor relative to the cylinder head.

8. Remove the two bolts and remove the distributor.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Replace the shaft O-ring and check the condition of the cover.

2. Insert the distributor, aligning the key on the shaft with the slot in the cylinder head housing (the arrow indicates the seal).

3. Align the marks (arrow) and tighten the bolts slightly.

4. Install the cover gasket.

5. Tighten the cover screws.

6. Connect the wires and hoses.

7. Check the ignition timing and adjust if necessary, then tighten the distributor bolts.
