GENERAL INFORMATION

System voltage +12 V, negative (-) terminal of battery connected to ground. Battery: Capacity 60 or 65 Ah.

Alternator: Type Hitachi or Mitsubishi. Rated output 65 (carburetor engines) or 70 A (injection engines). Brush wear limit: – Hitachi 6.0 mm – Mitsubishi 8.0 mm. Starter: Type Hitachi or Mitsubishi, with pre-engagement pinion and flywheel. Torque specifications (N·m): Lower bolt 44; Bracket-to-cylinder block bolt 44; Adjusting bracket bar: – to engine 19 – to alternator 19; Starter mounting bolts 36; Manifold bracket bolt 26.
