Short circuit

GENERAL INFORMATION
To check a circuit for a short circuit, first disconnect the circuit load (loads are electrical components that consume power, such as bulbs, motors, heating elements, etc.).Remove the fuse of the affected circuit and connect the test lamp or voltmeter to the fuse terminals.
Apply power to the circuit. Remember that in some circuits, voltage is present only when the ignition key is turned to a specific position.
If voltage is present (indicated by the test lamp lighting or the voltmeter reading), there is a short circuit in the circuit.
If there is no voltage but the fuse still blows when the load components are connected, one of these components is faulty.
