Windshield Wiper Arm

Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Turn on the wiper and move the blades to the end position.

2. If the wiper is to be removed, mark the blade position with adhesive tape.

3. Remove the nut from the wiper arm shaft.

5. When removing the rear wiper arm, disconnect the washer hose.

6. Remove the arm from the shaft by lifting the blade. Note the location of the left and right arms.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Clean the serrations on the arm and on the shaft.

2. Install the wiper arms in their original positions, aligning the blades with the tape marks made during removal.

3. When installing the headlight washer nozzles, tighten the shaft nut while holding the arm below the stops at the bottom of the headlight.

4. Tighten the nut to the specified torque and install the protective cap.
