Removal

PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

3. Turn the throttle lever and remove the cable by passing it through the slot in the lever.

4. Disconnect the cable (indicated by arrow) from the pedal. Remove the two bolts securing the cable sheath bracket to the engine compartment bulkhead.
5. Working from inside the cabin, pull the cable through the engine compartment bulkhead.

Installation and Adjustment

PROCEDURE
1. Install the cable in the reverse order. Make sure the cable sheath grommet is correctly installed in the engine compartment bulkhead.
2. To adjust the cable, press the pedal fully down; the throttle valve must be fully open. If the throttle has not fully opened, loosen the locknuts, press the pedal fully down, and with the throttle fully open, tighten the locknuts.
3. Check the adjustment. When the pedal is released, the throttle valve must close fully.
