Inspection procedure
  1. Check can communication system
  2. Check if the can communication system dtc is output (see page ca-34).
Result


  1. Read value of intelligent tester (auto lsd switch)
  2. Check the data list for proper functioning of the auto lsd switch.

Ok: on (downhill assist control switch is on) appears on the screen.


  1. Perform active test by intelligent tester (auto lsd indicator light)
  2. Select the active test, generate a control command, and then check that the auto lsd indicator light operates.

Ok: the auto lsd indicator light turns on and off.


  1. Inspect combination meter assembly
  2. Inspect the combination meter (see page me-15).

Replace abs and traction actuator assembly
  1. Inspect auto lsd switch
  2. Disconnect the auto lsd switch switch.
  3. Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance
Toyota RAV4. Inspect auto lsd switch



  1. Check wire harness (auto lsd switch - skid control ecu and body ground)
  2. Disconnect the a19 ecu connector.
  3. Disconnect the e51 switch connector.
  4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance
Toyota RAV4. Check wire harness (auto lsd switch - skid control ecu and body ground)
