Electronic transistor switch

The electronic switch contains a powerful transistor that switches the current supply to the ignition coil (or ignition coils) on and off. In this way, the high voltage cannot interfere with the sensitive electronics of the control unit. However, the transistor does not switch current at the moment the Hall sender (4- and 5-cylinder models) or the ignition timing sender (6-cylinder models) sends its signals. The control unit determines the correct ignition timing independently and thereby issues the on/off signal.
