Except engines of 66 kW

The knock sensor is checked by reading the fault memory (see also section Regular Maintenance). There are no other means of checking. However, a faulty knock sensor can also be noticed by strong metallic knocking during acceleration.


When installing a new sensor, be sure to observe the correct tightening torque of 20 N·m for the mounting bolt.
