Headlamp Aim Check

Using hex keys (arrows), the headlamp position can be adjusted with the hood open. The adjusting screw on the outer side of the vehicle adjusts the height of the light beam; the screw on the inner side adjusts lateral alignment.
The headlamp is unlikely to shift on its own. However, if the reflector or the entire headlamp has been replaced, check the headlamp aim.
Headlamps must also be adjusted if the front of the vehicle was damaged in an accident or new suspension components were installed. Adjust as follows:
PROCEDURE
Adjustment condition: set the headlamp tilt angle to "0".
The most accurate method of adjustment is, as before, aiming with a special aiming device used by mechanics in workshops, at service stations, or at Bosch service centers.
High beam adjustment on models with a 6-cylinder engine is correct only if low beam adjustment is correct.
Fog lamp beam adjustment: see the illustration at the bottom right of the lamp.
At a distance of five meters from the adjustment wall, the fog lamp light beams must be 100 mm below the respective center of the lamp. Only the height is adjusted.
