Removal and Installation — Flywheel

Removal

1. 1
   Remove the transmission.
   Refer to: Transmission (307-01B Automatic Transmission - Automatic Transmission - HF45, Removal and Installation).

   Remove the bolts and damper. Discard the bolts.

   

3. 3
   • Remove the bolts and flywheel.

   • Discard the bolts.

   

Installation

1. 1
   • Install the flywheel and new bolts. Using the universal pulley holder, tighten the new crankshaft pulley bolts in the sequence shown.
     Torque:
     Stage 1: 37 lb-ft (50 N·m)
     Stage 2: 59 lb-ft (80 N·m)
     Stage 3: 83 lb-ft (112 N·m)

   • Remove the universal pulley holder.

   

2. 2
   Using the universal pulley holder, tighten in the sequence shown, 2 turns at a time.
   Torque: 21 lb-ft (29 N·m)

   

3. 3
   Install the engine.
   Refer to: Engine (Engine 303-01C, Removal).
