Switch

The wiper and washer switch can operate when the ignition switch is in the "ON" or "START" position.

Move the switch to operate the wipers or spray washer fluid.

Windshield wipers

2. Intermittent wiper operation

For intermittent wiper operation, set the wiper switch to the "INT" position. When the switch is in this position, the interval between wiper sweeps can be varied from 2 to 10 seconds by turning the interval adjustment switch.

1. Before operating the wipers in cold weather, make sure the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass. Attempting to operate the wipers with blades frozen to the glass may overheat the wiper motor.

2. If the wipers stop during operation due to ice or other obstructions on the windshield, the wiper motor may overheat, even if the wiper switch is off. If this happens, stop the vehicle immediately, turn the ignition switch off, and clear the windshield so the wipers operate normally.

3. Do not operate the wipers when the windshield is dry. This will scratch the glass and cause premature wear of the wiper blades.
