Antenna

Fixed Mast Antenna
A fixed mast antenna is used in the vehicle to receive AM and FM broadcast signals.
This is a removable type antenna. To remove it, turn the antenna counterclockwise.
CAUTION:
Be sure to remove the antenna before washing the vehicle in an automatic car wash, otherwise the antenna may be damaged.

Manual Antenna
A manual stainless steel antenna is used to receive AM and FM broadcast signals in the vehicle.
Pull out the antenna by hand, as shown in the illustration.
Be sure to fully retract the antenna before washing the vehicle in an automatic car wash or entering a low-clearance area.

Power Antenna (if equipped)
The antenna extends automatically when the radio is turned on with the ignition switch in the "ON" or "ACC" position. The antenna retracts automatically and remains retracted when the radio is turned off or the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position.
• Before turning on the radio, make sure no one is near the antenna.
• Before entering an automatic car wash or a low-clearance area, make sure the antenna is retracted.
• If the antenna becomes dirty, be sure to clean it to avoid malfunctions.
